Joseph Malcolm Abruzzo

Joseph (Mac) Abruzzo is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Neighborhood Engaged Research and Science (CORNERS) advised by Professor Andrew Papachristos. His research interests span several subdomains of network science, including epidemic spreading and network-related optimization problems. He recently completed a Ph.D. in marketing at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he studied the relationship between individuals’ local social network structure and their political psychology. He also holds a master’s degree in marketing from Northwestern and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Stanford University.

Featured Projects

Currently, our research focuses primarily on gun violence prevention and community violence intervention (CVI), policing practices, and public safety, and we are expanding into other areas that effect neighborhood health and well-being.
