Katie Pelech

Research Project Manager

Katie Pelech

Katie Pelech is a Research Project Manager at Corners: the Center for Neighborhood Engaged Research & Science., with a particular interest in community-based research and program evaluation. She previously worked in a Chicago-based drop-in center for youth experiencing homelessness before transitioning to nonprofit evaluation. Since then, she has conducted research and continuous evaluations of human service programs, including in-depth work with innovative violence prevention programming and opportunity youth services. Katie earned an MA in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago in 2019. In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and exploring the city on Divvy bikes.

Featured Projects

Currently, our research focuses primarily on gun violence prevention and community violence intervention (CVI), policing practices, and public safety, and we are expanding into other areas that effect neighborhood health and well-being.
